Cycles

As time ticked by, it was becoming obvious that I was falling behind schedule with animation.  The trickiest part was that there are so many cycles in the film (not unlike the games I was referencing) that assessing how many seconds of animation I was getting done per week was proving difficult.

After taking to the tutors, we decided that I would try and concentrate on cycles for the rest of March, then spend April putting the animation together.  Hopefully this will work!

sheep_walk

The above walk cycles will be used at several points during the film.  Both created in Adobe Animate, but are very much designed to be contrasting. Max’s walk cycle is on threes and kind of jerky. The sheep’s by contrast is more smooth and fluid.  Max’s is basically recreated frame by frame drawn animation while the sheep’s cycle is using made by manipulating a (relatively simple) rig in Animate.
